With the freedom, health services and personal comfort we enjoy in prosperous countries, it is difficult to imagine the tragedy of children born poor, living in a developing country and with a disability caused by birth, disease or land mines. Children battling to survive with no medical facilities and no government care. These children live miserable lives, sitting in the dirt all day, every day, or dragging themselves from place to place on a piece of bagging, sometimes in a wooden box with skids. For most, life lacks hope. No schooling; no education; no chance of ever gaining a job. Their lives and that of their families are dramatically changed when they are given a wheelchair - and you can help realise that gift.
